Ditto AI: The Future of Dating?
What happens when you let artificial intelligence try to manufacture romance?
In this documentary-style investigation, we dive into Ditto AI, an AI-powered dating app that claims to optimize human connection. Starting at UC Berkeley, we test the app’s promises and begin pulling at the seams of how the platform actually works. What starts as a casual experiment quickly turns strange.
We interview Ditto’s marketing team, plant a user (Aakash Choudhary) inside the system, and follow him as he prepares for a real date. Along the way, dating starts to feel less like chemistry and more like a glorified LinkedIn match. Profiles, pitches, and personal branding all disguised as intimacy. An unexpected invitation raises bigger questions about access, image, and trust.
Can AI really help us find love, or is it just refining the performance of romance?
